My first time trying a Dokuroku sake. Doburoku is an alcohol that can't really be called sake. All sake in Japan is filtered, even Nigori sake. To make Doburoku, a brewery needs a special licence, and therefor it's not as widely available as regular sake. Even prohibited for a long time, this type of alcohol looks a lot like Nigori sake, and some brewers make it today.
Kinokawa is one of those breweries. This sake is pretty thick, with a sligh milky texture. This sake has a lot of flavors of pure rice, and a bit of milk. It's really smooth, and before I knew it I was already down half a bottle. For a first time I would say: Not bad!
