The first time I tried this sake was at the KaaSake tasting in Amsterdam past Summer. Remembering that this was my favorite of the bunch, I decided to order another bottle to see if I still liked it at home.
One of the things that peaked my interest was its alcohol percentage. Labeled as a Genshu, it's still only 13%. According to the retailer it is because the fermentation is stopped prematurely. Quite light and easy to drink, it containes a lot of junmai flavors, like rice and yoghurt, but also has some tones of black pepper and even a bit of apricot.
Even without the cheese this time, this sake still rocks. I would definitely recommend it.
