Description

Kikumasamune and nama? Yes please! Their futsu-shu is a sake I have in my refrigerator all the time, so a nama version can only get better, right?

One thing to note: while I was at their store, I did find it odd that this sake was not stored cold. To me, a namazake needs to be cooled all the time. The aromas coming of my glass are not as fresh as I am used to from a namazake. It's still lively though. The same liveliness continues when taking a sip, but I think it can be fresher. I do really enjoy it though. It's high in umami, acidity and a little dry, but the freshness cut through it. The flavour profile is a mix between junmai (grain, dairy) and ginjo (fruity).

I do really like this sake. It's easy to drink, and I keep wanting more. I do really wonder what would happen if this was stored in the refrigerator from the start.
