Time to visit Shizuoka prefecture with this very nice Junmai Ginjo. Made with Homarefuji rice, a Shizuoka prefecture rice based on Yamada-nishiki, let's see what this sake is all about.
This sake has a nice lemony color while pouring it into the glass. Taking a sniff, it is quite light, but you will recognize it's a fruity/floral type sake, with flavors of melon, pear, a small bit of green apple. This sake is quite subtle when taking your first sip, not overpowering. Here you will also experience melon, apple, pear. This goes down also very easily, lingering in your mouth for a bit and then disappearing.
This is a very drinkable sake. It's a solid choice, not spectacular in any aspect, but overall it hits all the boxes, and a sake you can serve in any situation.
