Echigo Sekkobai Junmai Ginjo

While browing one of my favorite shops to get sake I got interested in this bottle. I am not the biggest fan of Niigata style sake, but looking it up, I still wanted to try it.

Taking a sniff, it is immediately clear this is a fruity sake. The aromas are really clear and also very present. I like strong flavors and aromas, so for me this is a plus. The mouthfeel is very similar: powerful, fresh and fruity. I do notice this sake it a bit sweet. Like Niigata style sake, it has a short finish. Not 'kirei', but still quite short. Flavors of melon, pear, peach and tropical fruits.

This is a sake I could serve to anyone. I will definitely get another bottle of this!
